“Borderlands” is a baffling misfire, where an ensemble of renowned actors collides with a beloved post-apocalyptic video game series—only for writer/director Eli Roth to seemingly double down on cringe-worthy dialogue and painfully bad CGI, turning what could have been a fun ride into a 100-minute test of patience.
