Strong Island (2017)

Though deeply personal and impressively styled, “Strong Island” (and its creator Yance Ford) fails to deliver on its promise of exposing the very real issues of institutional racism in this country, and instead focus on the more personal issues of dealing with grief in the face of tragedy.
